Facility Access by Gender Identity
FitnessU strives to create a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free environment for all members, guests, and staff. Individuals may use the restrooms, showers, and locker rooms that correspond with their self-identified gender.
This applies to all members and guests, including transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse individuals.
Optional Gender-Neutral Facilities
FitnessU offers gender-neutral restroom/locker room facilities for anyone who prefers additional privacy or comfort.
Use of the gender-neutral option is voluntary — no member or guest is required to use it.
Respect & Privacy
Members and guests must respect the privacy and dignity of others at all times. FitnessU does not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct in any facility space.
Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:
• Recording, filming, or photographing others in restrooms or locker rooms
• Intimidation, derogatory comments, or harassment based on gender identity, expression, or any other protected characteristic
Safety & Staff Discretion
While FitnessU supports access based on self-reported gender identity, staff reserve the right to intervene if there is a reasonable safety concern or if actions suggest a person is not acting in good faith. In such cases, management may ask to speak with the individual privately and, if necessary, request that they leave the facility.
Policy Enforcement
Violations of this policy — including harassment, privacy breaches, or unsafe behavior — may result in warnings, suspension, or membership termination, depending on severity.
